See what I am harvesting in late fall in the no-till garden. And find out why I don't clean out my garden in the fall and check out how I use chickens to till my garden.
What is Going on in my Late Fall, No-till Garden?
Not much is going on in late fall in the no-till garden. The summer garden is really winding down. I have a few plants producing a little, but the harvest is almost over.
The pumpkins are still trying to make it to maturity before a hard frost hits my area. I am harvesting the last of my beans, zucchini and peppers. Lettuce, swiss chard and mustard greens are going strong.
I have some meat chickens that are foraging in one of my gardens. I love having them in there to fertilize and till the soil for me.
In this video, I tell you about my reasons for NOT cleaning out my garden in the fall (and, no it's not because I am ready to take a break from gardening and just relax; although that's not a bad reason).
